About Plynixy
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard introduced by Anthropic for connecting large language models to external tools and data sources. Think of it as a universal plug for AI: instead of every assistant building its own one-off integration with Slack, Postgres, or your filesystem, MCP defines a single protocol that servers expose — and any MCP-aware client (Claude Desktop, IDE extensions, custom agents) can immediately use them.
What is Plynixy?
Plynixy is the directory for discovering those servers. We index the full ecosystem weekly from GitHub, normalize install instructions across npm, uvx, and Docker, and surface signals like stars, last commit, and community votes so you can pick the right server in seconds.
Who runs this?
Plynixy is independently operated and not affiliated with Anthropic. We exist because the ecosystem is moving fast and devs need one place to look.
How is it monetized?
Featured listings ($39/mo) and Spotlight slots ($99/mo) — with a 1× weekly newsletter mention — keep the lights on. Browse and the API stay free forever.
